The Syracuse Orange cross-country teams kicked off the 2015 season on Saturday at the Harry Lang Invitational hosted by the Colgate Red Raiders. The 3rd-ranked men finished 2nd behind Navy, while the 17th-ranked women were 3rd behind Bucknell and Albany. This meet is almost like a pre-season game as both squads rested many of the top runners.
Graduate student Cassia Hameline made her Orange debut in memorable fashion by winning the women's 4800m run in a time of 17:17. Stephanie Bitcon (4th in 17:23), Karina Ernst (8th in 17:39), Beth Wright (21st in18:05), and Rebecca Skodis (33rd in 18:53) completed the five scorers for Syracuse.
