The Syracuse Orange cross-country "pre-season" came to a close on Friday night at the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational.Both the men and women finished in 2nd place in their respective races. The men were led by Colin Bennie, who was the overall race winner in a time of 25:20 for the 5.2 mile course. Dan Lennon was 4th overall (25:37), while Joel Hubbard (6th in 25:42), Shawn Wilson (15th in 26:05), and Philo Germano (16th in 26:08) rounded out the scoring spots for Syracuse.
The #12 Michigan Wolverines won the men's race with 35 points- 7 points in front of the Orange, but with both Martin Hehir and Justyn Knight sitting this race out, there isn't any concern about team place.
