Syracuse women's lacrosse associate head coach Regy Thorpe has been named head coach of the U.S. men's team that will compete at the 2019 Federation of International Lacrosse men's Indoor World Championship in British Columbia, Canada.
Thorpe joined the Syracuse staff in 2010. Since that time, Syracuse defenders have earned three IWLCA All-America honors and 11 all-conference nods.
Thorpe has helped the Orange advance to the national semifinals six times, including the past five years, and two national final appearances.
Thorpe played at Herkimer Junior College for two years, where he earned All-America honors and was named the Defenseman of the Year in 1991.
