Perhaps you don’t really want to talk about Syracuse Orange basketball right now. That’s fine. I don’t really want to either. However, the women’s team did provide a bit of a highlight last night amid all of the bad news at the Carrier Dome:
SU was revealed as the No. 15 team in the country according to the NCAA Tournament selection committee, giving them a 4-seed in Notre Dame’s region. Should that hold, the Orange would host the first and second round before moving on to Portland, Ore. for a potential Sweet 16 and Elite 8 (should they make it that far).
