Syracuse, N.Y. -- Isis Young is a strong believer in manners, so she felt obligated to explain to the professor of her Syracuse University African-American theater class why she was going to walk out of it early one night last spring.
Young has two strong passions in her life. One is playing basketball for SU, and the other is learning as much as she can about building a career in sports broadcasting.
Toward that second goal, Young had heard that ESPN writer/commentator Jemele Hill was speaking on campus that night. Young was not about to miss that.
