Syracuse University ranks sixth in the country at getting athletes drafted, according to ESPN

Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Syracuse athletic department ranked sixth in the country in its ability to get athletes drafted over the past decade according to a fun project put together by ESPN.

The project, which ESPN called Ultimate Draft Rank, attempted to measure every athletic department's ability to get athletes drafted across eight different sports over the past decade.

Only North Carolina, Maryland, Duke, Kentucky and Notre Dame were better at getting athletes drafted than the Orange, according to the project. The project used a points system in order to rank the schools. The methodology is a little complex, part of an effort to create a system where sports like basketball and baseball are considered equally.
