Syracuse athletic director John Wildhack made the second head coaching hire of his tenure at SU on Friday, announcing the hire of Dartmouth's Shannon Doepking as the school's new softball coach.
Doepking takes over the program from Mike Bosch, who coached the last three seasons. He left during the offseason to become a pitching coach at the University of Florida.
Doepking took over at Dartmouth after the 2014 season, when the school was coming off its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. She led the Big Green to the second and third NCAA Tournament appearances in school history in 2015 and 2018.
