Syracuse will put a No. 31 logo on the court close to the spot where Pearl launched his famous half-court shot.
Pearl Washington's jersey has already been retired by Syracuse Orange basketball, but that doesn't mean the school can't take some time to honor the legend who passed away earlier this year.
Syracuse will honor Pearl on December 17 during the Georgetown Hoyas showdown in the Carrier Dome that evening.
The biggest part of the tribute will be a No. 31 logo affixed to Jim Boeheim Court at approximately the same spot where he made his legendary half-court shot to defeat Boston College in 1984.
