Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse Athletics is melding faith and football later this fall when the Syracuse football team hosts North Carolina State.
Planned events ahead of the Oct. 27 game include a pregame gathering at Hendricks Chapel, activities on the Quad adjacent to the Carrier Dome and an opportunity to take a photo on the field after the game and interact with Syracuse athletes who are involved in faith-based groups.
It's the first year Syracuse Athletics is partnering with Hendricks Chapel for such an event, and Rev. Dr. Brian E. Konkol, the dean of Hendricks, said in a press release he looks forward to growing the event "far into the future.
