The Syracuse men's soccer team has been slotted as the No. 16 seed in the NCAA tournament.
The Orange will get a first-round bye and host the winner of the first-round match between Akron and Rider 2 p.m. Sunday at the SU Soccer Stadium.
Syracuse posted a 7-6-4 record, including a 1-4-3 mark in ACC play. The Orange were No. 18 in the latest RPI rankings released last Monday.
SU will make its fourth NCAA tournament appearance in the last five years and the fifth in the last seven years. The Orange last made the NCAA tournament in 2016, and has a 7-3-2 all-time record in tournament play.
