Syracuse Soccer Alum Alex Bono Called Up to Men’s National Team

Ever since Coach Ian McIntyre took over the Men’s Soccer program, alumni from the program have started to make moves in Major League Soccer. Alex Bono has been one of the best examples of this. After being drafted by Toronto FC and playing a season on their USL side, Bono has become the first choice staple goaltender for the reigning MLS Champions.

Since becoming a Toronto regular, Bono has been called in to USA men’s camps, and now, the men’s national team.

As you can imagine, Bono is pretty excited.

Bono has yet to play for the Stars and Stripes, but this time he may have a shot of real field action.
