The Syracuse Orange rowing squads are pushing to secure their places in their respective championships. The Syracuse men are ranked in the top 10 in the latest IRA/US Rowing Coaches Poll and last weekend they captured the Packard Cup by defeating the Dartmouth Big Green. The previous week the Orange defeated the Cornell Big Red and Navy Midshipmen to secure the Goes Trophy and now the team will prepare for the Eastern Sprints on May 19th.
Last year the Syracuse 1st Varsity 8 boat was 7th at the Eastern Sprints and as a team the Orange finished 9th at the IRA Championships.
