To the Editor:
I have lived in Pasadena, Maryland, for over 40 years, but since my college days at Cazenovia and SUNY Brockport, I have been an avid Syracuse basketball fan for many reasons. The first is James Arthur Boeheim, a truly great basketball coach and an even better advocate for Syracuse University, the community and various charities. The second reason is the entertainment the Syracuse players have consistently provided their fans with over the years, always demonstrating a no-quit attitude. Third, the devotion of past players to the program, either by coming back as a coach, or as a fan continuing to cheer on Syracuse teams.
