Ahead of this weekend’s Lift for Life event, one of the key figures of the Syracuse Orange’s Uplifting Athletes chapter received a nomination for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
Linebacker Kielan Whitner made the list for his work as PR director of SU’s Uplifting Athletes chapter, along with recent mission trips to Haiti, and his involvement with the For a Day Foundation and Team Impact — both of which help sick children.
Should Whitner earn the honor, he wouldn’t be the first Syracuse player to make that sort of impact either. Sam Rodgers made the Good Works Team back in 2014 as well.
