US Lacrosse named its 49 player training team on Wednesday. Four former Syracuse Orange players made the training squad.
Matt Abbott – M – Chesapeake Bayhawks
JoJo Marasco – M – Rochester Rattlers
Joel White – LSM – Rochester Rattlers
John Galloway – G – Rochester Rattlers
Originally, US Lacrosse invited 60 players to try out for the National Team. However, subsequently the organization offered 12 additional invites that included Sergio Salcido, Nick Mariano, and Scott Firman, none of whom made the training squad. It should also be noted that Kevin Rice did not get an invite, a pretty big snub in most people’s minds.
