Syracuse lacrosse attack looking at NCAA suspension

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse attack Nate Solomon will likely miss Saturday's game against Johns Hopkins because of a one-game NCAA suspension.

Solomon and Virginia's Zach Ambrosino were both ejected at the end of Sunday's game after an altercation between the pair. Solomon hit Cavaliers goalie Alex Rode after the final horn and Ambrosino retaliated by going after Solomon.

According to an ACC spokesperson, the NCAA mandates that a player ejected from a game in any sport must also sit out the next contest as well. The spokesperson said the ACC is reviewing the penalty, but the league does that routinely for such calls.
