Syracuse Ice Hockey advances to CHA Tournament Championship

Last night the Syracuse Orange women’s ice hockey team knocked off the #1 seed Penn State Nittany Lions in the CHA Tournament in Erie, Pennsylvania. The 4th-seeded Orange will play Robert Morris tonight in the championship with an automatic NCAA bid on the line. Syracuse will be looking for their second CHA title and NCAA appearance in program history.

The Orange jumped out to a 3-0 lead on Penn State and held on as the Nittany Lions scored twice in the final period. Allison Small stopped 24 shots for the win and the Syracuse goals were scored by Madison Beishuizen, Anna Leschyshyn, and Emma Polaski.
