Syracuse, N.Y. -- Three Syracuse football players were included in the Atlantic Coast Conference's Week 3 honor roll: linebacker Kielan Whitner, quarterback Tommy DeVito and kicker Andre Szmyt.
Whitner, a senior, was named the conference's linebacker of the week after tallying a career-high 11 tackles in SU's 30-7 win over Florida State on Saturday. He also forced a fumble and helped pace an Orange defense that held FSU to 240 total yards of offense and just 1 of 14 on third-down conversions.
DeVito took home top freshman honors, accounting for his first career rushing and throwing touchdowns against the Seminoles.
