Syracuse football WR Ervin Philips signs undrafted free agent deal with Buccaneers

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football receiver Ervin Philips, the program's all-time leader in receptions, will sign an undrafted free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Philips informed syracuse.com/The Post-Standard of his plans moments after the conclusion of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The West Haven, Conn. native finished his college career with 223 catches. He joined Pitt's Tyler Boyd as the only players in ACC history with two seasons of at least 85 receptions.

It was a rapid rise up the record books after spending his first two years on campus primarily as a running back.
