After last week’s more “traditional” home uniform set didn’t work, the Syracuse Orange football team will try out something completely new on Saturday against the Albany Great Danes.
Yes, there are still combinations out there that we haven’t seen since the start of 2019, and white helmets with orange jerseys and orange pants would be one of those. This is the first time SU will don the orange jerseys this season, and haven’t worn them since about the mid-way point of 2020 — a Dome loss to Wake Forest.
Going back to 2019, when this set was introduced, Syracuse is 2-4 in the white helmets, with one of those wins at home (the other was on the road at Ohio in week one of this season).
