Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football will begin its 2017 preseason camp on Sunday, July 30, SU Athletics announced Friday morning.
The Orange will have 33 days and 25 practices to prepare for its season opener against Central Connecticut State on Sept. 1 in the Carrier Dome.
SU's annual Fan Fest will be held on Saturday, Aug. 12 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. However, the practice will be closed to the public. Details on the event, which will be centered around fan interaction, are yet to be released.
