Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football returned to the practice field on Friday for one final session before the team's second scrimmage of preseason camp on Saturday.
The Orange was still without four projected starters in senior running back Dontae Strickland, senior tight end Ravian Pierce, junior strong safety Evan Foster and junior defensive end Kendall Coleman (apparent knee).
Freshman wide receiver Ed Hendrix also missed his second straight practice due to an apparent knee injury.
Here are some other observations from a relatively quiet 10 minutes:
- The most newsworthy nugget from Friday morning was that senior long snapper Matt Keller is in a walking boot and able to take reps.
