One of the best punters in Syracuse football history will not be following in the footsteps of Riley Dixon.
On Thursday evening Executive Director for the Reese’s Senior Bowl Jim Nagy confirmed through text that Sterling Hofrichter would not be heading down to Mobile, Alabama for the annual college all-star game.
Nagy would go on to say that Sterling was under heavy consideration, but the Senior Bowl staff “decided to go in another direction.”
It comes as a shocker considering Sterling meets all the prerequisites to receive a possible invitation and he’s widely considered to be the best punter in the country.
