Exactly one week after we mentioned that the 2020 football schedule didn’t have many options and that the Western Michigan Broncos were on the short list, it appears the Syracuse Orange have gone ahead and locked them in, according to the Athletic’s Matt Fortuna.
There are no dates currently attached to that news, but based on the openings for both schools, opening weekend is a potential option for 2020 (at WMU), or it could wind up elsewhere in September. For 2023, the Broncos are booked for week one (at Iowa), but week two and five are available in the early portion of the schedule.
