Syracuse, N.Y. -- Class of 2019 wide receiver Nazir Burnett has decommitted from Syracuse football, he announced Monday night.
Previously one of the Orange's most highly touted pledges this cycle, the Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, Pa.) High School senior wrote in a tweet that he is still considering SU and spoke with head coach Dino Babers, who was understanding of the situation.
"As much as I love the Syracuse football program and highly respect head coach Dino Babers and the entire Syracuse staff, I realize that, in hindsight, I rushed my college choice and did not provide myself with the greatest opportunity to explore and thoroughly investigate all my possible college options," Burnett wrote in his note.
