Syracuse, N.Y. -- Lakeland High School (Fla.) linebacker Ja'Qurius Smith has decommitted from Syracuse football's 2018 recruiting class.

Smith, a 6-foot-3, 194-pound three-star prospect had committed to the Orange last May.
He had been one of the few recruits who did not sign during the early signing period last month.
Syracuse has signed three linebackers this cycle, including Juan Wallace and Lakiem Williams, who enrolled this month and are participating in winter workouts.
