The transfer portal doesn't open until Friday, but some Syracuse football players have ideas on which college transfers the Orange staff should pursue.
The portal will be open from January 2 to January 16. The 'Cuse has a sizable 2026 prep class, but it has also seen at least 25 players from its 2025 roster reveal plans to enter the transfer portal. So Syracuse football coaches will be active in the portal market, and one position to monitor is wide receiver.
As I noted earlier on Tuesday, starting wide receiver Darrell Gill Jr., a junior, is among at least four wide receivers who plan to depart the Hill.
