On Saturday night, Syracuse football freshman defensive lineman Quante Gillians from nearby Rochester, N.Y., said that he would enter his name into the transfer portal.
Gillians, a three-star prospect in the 2025 class and the No. 1 player coming out of New York state in that cycle, per 247Sports, appeared in two games for the Orange during the most recent campaign, registering one total tackle.
