The Syracuse football Pro Day on Monday didn’t feature many media members. The Pro Day is closed to the public, but there were 20 NFL teams represented and a CFL team.
12 former Orange athletes were supposed to work out in front of a bevy of NFL teams, one player didn’t participate (Austin Valdez, linebacker). Although one player, who normally could fly under the radar, caught the ire of a Denver Broncos scout. That man was former Syracuse place kicker, Cole Murphy.
I wasn’t supposed to be at the Pro Day very long (I ended up being there several hours), so I had some time on my hands to write down my observations.
