Eric Dungey is officially back in the NFL.
The former Syracuse football quarterback signed a deal with the Cleveland Browns on Friday morning to join their practice squad.
To make room on the roster, the Cleveland Browns placed wide receiver Derrick Willies on the injured list with a knee injury, per the team.
This is Dungey’s second NFL opportunity since leaving college.
After going unselected in the 2019 NFL Draft, Eric eventually signed an undrafted free agent contract with the New York Giants.
Dungey signed with Big Blue and was listed as a quarterback and a tight end.
