Syracuse football, CNY in the NFL (Week 2): A signing, career first and big day

This weekend was an exciting one for Syracuse football alumni and Central New York products in the NFL. Let's take a look at how those players performed in Week 2 of the NFL.

Monday night was not a good night for the New York Giants offensive line. Quarterback Eli Manning was sacked five times as left tackle Ereck Flowers was a sieve.

Former SU standout Justin Pugh slid from left guard to right tackle due to an injury to Bobby Hart. He stood up for Flowers after New York's 24-10 loss to the Detroit Lions.
