Syracuse University is asking for more money if Carrier wants to keep its name on the Carrier Dome, according to a report from Bloomberg News on Monday.
The report cited the school's vice president and chief facilities officer Pete Sale as its source.
"Negotiations are happening now," Sala said. "We asked Carrier to be a player."
Syracuse.com inquired about the school's naming rights agreement in May. The school declined comment at the time.
The Bloomberg article states that "if Syracuse and Carrier can't reach an agreement, the university could attempt to buy out the original contract.
