Syracuse guard Tyus Battle was one of 20 players named to the Jerry West Award watch list on Tuesday. The award recognizes the top shooting guard in the country.
The committee that gives out the award advertises itself as made of "top college basketball personnel."
The watch list is headlined by Duke guard Grayson Allen. ACC players on the list other than Battle and Allen include Boston College's Jerome Robinson, Florida State's M.J. Walker and Miami's Lonnie Walker. Syracuse will also face Kansas' Malik Newman.
The award is in its fourth year. It has previously been one by DeAngelo Russell, Buddy Hield and Malik Monk.
