Syracuse basketball takes on the Pittsburgh Panthers Saturday afternoon in what should be a very blistery, winter day outside. The Orange come in flying high after a huge win over top ranked Duke on Monday on the road. Meanwhile the Panthers will also come in hot off the heels of a huge home victory over nationally ranked Florida State.
Both teams come in with matching 12-5 records, according to ESPN.com, in what looks like a pretty even matchup. The spread has Syracuse winning by 7.5 points, but even that feels skewed. These two almost always play a close physical game against each other, even when they were back in the Old Big East conference.
