As expected, Syracuse basketball standout Tyus Battle will be leaving the Orange and head to the 2019 NBA Draft. NBA and College Basketball Insider Adam Zagoria was first on the news early Friday afternoon.
To be honest, many thought Battle would’ve left after his sophomore campaign on the hill. Tyus was fresh off a season in which he averaged over 19 points per game and led the Orange to the Sweet 16.
Battle went through the NBA Combine process, met with several NBA teams, but ultimately decided to return to Syracuse right before the clock hit zero last May.
