Syracuse Basketball: The unheralded Jim Boeheim, Dave Smart rivalry

In four months, the Syracuse Orange will play their third ever game against Canada’s most prestigious college basketball program, Carleton, in a game that will officially mark the end of one of Jim Boeheim‘s most unheralded coaching rivalries ever.

The two programs first met in August of 2013, just four months after the Orange’s memorable run to the Final Four in the NCAA Tournament.

During their four-game road trip through Canada, the Orange barely escaped the Ravens’ Nest in Ottawa, defeating Carleton 69-65 on the heels of Jerami Grant‘s 18 points and 11 rebounds and Ontario’s Tyler Ennis‘ 15-point, four rebounds, and five steal performance.
