A fun bit of recruiting news for Orange Nation on Friday, as 2019 center Jesse Edwards has made a commitment to the Syracuse basketball program.
The 6-foot-11 Edwards, from the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., is originally from the Netherlands and revealed his collegiate destination via his Instagram page.
According to the 247Sports Web site, other schools interested in Edwards included Creighton, Georgia Tech, Providence, Stanford, and Vanderbilt. The Yellow Jackets had also offered him a scholarship, per 247Sports. Edwards traveled to Georgia Tech in late March, and he checked out the SU campus on April 1st and 2nd.
