Syracuse basketball selected as an 11-seed in NCAA Tournament

The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team earned an 11-seed in the NCAA Tournament in the Midwest Region. The Orange will square off against the No. 6 seed San Diego State in the First Round.

The Orange made a late season push, finishing the season winning three of its last four games, all of the quadrant two variety. Syracuse was knocked out of the ACC Tournament by Virginia on a game-winning three. The day after, Virginia bowed out due to a positive Covid-19 test. On Friday, Syracuse Athletic Director John Wildhack announced that no positive tests emerged for Syracuse and that no players would have to enter quarantine.
