Syracuse, N.Y. -- Joe Girard III has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Syracuse University.
Girard, a 6-2 guard at Glens Falls High School, signed his letter of intent during a ceremony at his school on Wednesday.
Wednesday marked the first day in the NCAA's week-long early signing period for recruits in the 2019 class.
Syracuse three other recruits in the 2019 class; Brycen Goodine of St. Andrew's School in Barrington, R.I., John Bol Ajak of Westtown School in West Chester, Pa., and Quincy Guerrier of Thetford Academy in Quebec City, are all expected to sign their letters of intent on Wednesday.
