Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse basketball recruit Joe Girard III led the Glens Falls High School football team to its third straight Section II Class B title on Saturday.
Girard threw for touchdowns and ran for two more in Glens Falls' 40-0 rout of Cobleskill in Saturday's championship game at Shenendehowa High School.
Girard completed 8 of 12 passes for 148 yards plus the two touchdowns. He ran for 114 yards.
Glens Falls roared to a 34-0 halftime lead against Cobleskill. The eventual 40-0 final score was much different than the teams' regular season match-up, which Glens Falls won 36-28 thanks to two Girard touchdowns in the final four minutes.
