On Friday morning Syracuse basketball and Nike released new throwback jerseys for the 2019 season.
In a video released on the official Syracuse basketball Twitter account, the Orange and Nike debuted the new threads in a production starring former Syracuse standout and current associate head coach Adrian Autry.
In their formal release on Cuse.com, the University announced they plan to debut the first of their two throwbacks Saturday.
This is an ideal choice considering this team takes on their most notable rival Georgetown in the Nation’s capital on national television.
The contest against the historic rival fits the timing to debut the new uniforms as they “model a uniform style similar to the one the team wore during the height of the heated encounters with hoyas between 1983-1994.
