Syracuse basketball offers scholarship to local standout Symir Torrence

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Symir Torrence, a Syracuse native and a rising prospect in the 2020 class, has received a scholarship offer from Syracuse University.

Torrence received the scholarship offer while participating in Syracuse's Elite Camp at the Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center on Saturday.

Torrence, a powerfully built 6-foot-2 point guard, originally attended Syracuse Academy of Science, but transferred to Vermont Academy last year. He will be a junior at Vermont Academy this year.
