The start of the 2019 season started on a rocky note for former Syracuse basketball star Dion Waiters. On social media, Waiters publicly criticized his head coach and Miami Heat rookie guard Tyler Herro. Herro was slated to start in front of Waiters, which he took exception too.
This series of events led to his 2-game suspension handed down from his team. After Waiters’ suspension concluded, he still was inactive and wasn’t with the team.
That wouldn’t be the last issue involving the team and Dion.
According to Andy Slater, on a team flight to Los Angeles, Waiters suffered a “panic attack” after consuming ‘gummies’ which is commonly referred to as a CBD edible.
