Last week during practice Syracuse basketball freshman guard Brycen Goodine suffered a broken nose.
We got a chance to speak with Goodine for the first time since he suffered the injury after the Notre Dame game in the locker room.
“I went up for a rebound in practice and Elijah Hughes came down with an elbow to my face.”
During warm-ups, Goodine was wearing a face mask to protect him, but he seemed super uncomfortable and didn’t end up playing in the 88-87 loss to the Irish on Saturday.
We found out after the game that the face mask that Goodine was wearing in pregame warmups was “just a temporary one” so he could practice.
