After acquiring a slew of guards, Boeheim’s Army has shifted its focus to adding some Brutus Beefcake to the lineup. Say hello to former Syracuse basketball standout Darryl ‘Mookie’ Watkins.
Watkins is a 6-foot-11 big man and he played for the Orange from 2003 through 2007. ‘Mookie’ will reunite with his former Syracuse teammate Eric Devendorf on Boeheim’s Army in 2019.
The other players that have been added to this year’s roster include:
- John Gillon, guard
- Brandon Triche, guard
- Chris McCullough, forward
- Hakim Warrick, forward/center
- Michael Gbinije, guard/forward (still unconfirmed)
After obsessing over ball handlers, it was appropriate for Boeheim’s Army to balance the roster with the addition of Darryl.
