Syracuse basketball got into the mix early on for 2023 five-star prospect Elijah Fisher, offering a scholarship to the elite 6-foot-7 wing last summer.
The Orange has done well in recruiting high-level prospects from Canada in recent years. Fisher is a sophomore at the Crestwood Preparatory College in Toronto, Ontario, and runs on the AAU circuit with Grassroots Elite Canada, which is also based in Toronto.
In mid-June, college coaches could begin making direct contact with high-school prospects in the 2023 cycle. Fisher, in a recent article by 247Sports national analyst Dushawn London, dished on several collegiate teams for which he’s in frequent contact.
