Syracuse basketball adds guard Alan Griffin, expected to be immediately eligible

The bleeding has finally stopped for the Syracuse basketball team this offseason.

After losing a slew of guys to the transfer portal (Jalen Carey, Howard Washington, Brycen Goodine) and potentially a guy to the NBA (Elijah Hughes) the Orange have added someone of their own in guard Alan Griffin.

The news was first confirmed by Mike Waters of Syracuse.com.

While typically transfers are forced to sit out a year due to NCAA regulations, Matthew Gutierrez of The Athletic says Griffin is “expected to have immediate eligibility” with the Orange in 2020.
