Syracuse basketball 2024 commit Donnie Freeman from Washington, D.C., will play for a Peach Jam championship on Sunday in the late afternoon.
On Saturday, the four-star power forward helped lead the D.C.-based Team Takeover into the title game of the annual Peach Jam tournament, which crowns a champion of Nike’s EYBL league. Team Takeover secured two victories – in the quarterfinals and the semifinals – on Saturday to advance to the final contest.
The 6-foot-9 Freeman, a top-40 national prospect in the rising-senior class per multiple recruiting services, verbally committed to the Orange in May over other finalists Alabama, Iowa, Texas and Georgia Tech.
