Syracuse Basketball: 2020 5-star target Isaiah Jackson chooses Kentucky

Isaiah Jackson, a 2020 five-star power forward who is among the premier players across the country in his class, revealed on Saturday afternoon that he will head to Kentucky for his collegiate career, rather than don a Syracuse basketball uniform.

The 6-foot-9 Jackson, who attends Waterford Mott High School in Waterford, Mich., has decided to compete for the Wildcats and their master recruiter, head coach John Calipari. In doing so, Jackson selected Kentucky over the Orange, as well as fellow SEC group Alabama, which is guided by former Buffalo boss Nate Oats.

For much of his recruitment, Jackson, who held an abundance of scholarship offers from a wide variety of teams, appeared to hold things close to the vest, as recruiting analysts didn’t seem to pin-point a clear favorite to land this ultra-talented young man.
