Shortly before last year’s opening weekend matchup between the Syracuse Orange and the Colgate Raiders, we spoke with former SU linebacker Siriki Diabate. He’d been working as the secondary coach at Colgate, and was excited to head back to his alma mater to coach against the Orange. Diabate also sounded like a man determined to continue progressing his coaching career.
Thursday’s news certainly seemed to go along with that path, as Diabate continues to move up in the world.
Diabate will join the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders’ staff as a linebackers coach on Scott Shafer’s defense.
